Transport Min. follows up anti-coronavirus precautions

Minister of Transport Kamel el Wazir on Sunday made an inspection tour of Cairo’s Ramses Railway Station to ensure that all safety measures against the novel coronavirus are in place.

He also checked passengers’ access to all services and facilitation in light of the government night-time curfew decision, due to which some trips were cancelled.

Inspecting the main waiting hall, the minister checked that all employees dealing with the public are wearing face-masks and that disinfection operations cover every part of the station, including ticket sales offices and passenger seats.

He also toured several platforms to ensure that train carriages are safe, comfortable and uncrowded.

The minister underscored the need to strictly follow all anti-coronavirus precautions inside the railway facility, warning that negligence will never be tolerated in this regard.
