SUDANESE, EGYPTIAN FOREIGN MINISTERS MEET IN CAIRO

CAIRO, Nov 12 — Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Kerti met his Egyptian Counterpart, Samih Shukri, here Tuesday to review the development of relations between the two countries and agreed to work out a concept for promoting ties further.

The ministers agreed to review some matters such as opening border crossings, holding executive committee meetings and the preparing for holding the Presidential Higher Committee concerning strengthening co-operation between the two countries.

Sudanese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Yousif Al-Kurdofani said the two ministers also discussed the triple track concerning the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, especially support of the technical track.

Kurdofani said the two sides also discussed developments of the situation in Libya where Kerti briefed the Egyptian official on the outcomes of his meetings with Libyan parties in the context of Sudan’s efforts to bridge the gap between the various Libyan factions.
