Sisi hails talks with Senegalese president as “fruitful”

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said talks with his Senegalese counterpart Macky Sall tackled means of boosting bilateral relations at the various political, economic and security levels.

Viewpoints were exchanged during the meeting about several regional and international issues, particularly the situation in the West Africa region, Sisi said at a joint press conference following his meeting with Sall.

The Egyptian president said an agreement has been reached to promote relations between the two countries at all levels, topped by the economic and trade field via boosting bilateral trade exchange.

Sisi also pointed out to their talks on encouraging Egyptian investments in Senegal within the framework of the Emerging Senegal Plan (ESP), in a way that achieves mutual interests of the two countries.

The Egyptian leader added that he agreed with his Senegalese counterpart on intensifying cooperation in the field of capability building via training courses provided by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development on different civil and military fields.
