RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Nov 20 – Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on Wednesday urged Egypt, to solve issues with Qatar, after the return of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain with Qatar this week.

In a statement, King Abdullah said, the Riyadh supplementary agreement reached on Nov 16, is an end to all causes of passing differences, and a new start to promote joint efforts, that could benefit, not only the peoples of the Gulf Cooperation Council members, but that of the Arab and Islamic nations.

The King urged “the people and leadership of Egypt” to follow the steps and jointly boost Arab solidarity.

The Riyadh supplementary agreement, marked the return of Saudi, UAE and Bahraini ambassadors to Qatar, after their withdrawal in Mar, as an objection to Qatar’s interference policy towards the Gulf countries.

Egypt also shares disputes with Qatar, over the country’s support for leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is officially branded as a terrorist group in Egypt.
