RUSSIA, EGYPT SAY SYRIAN NEGOTIATIONS SHOULD INCLUDE ALL OPPOSITION GROUPS

Russia and Egypt said Tuesday, the Syrian negotiations, due in Geneva on Mar 14, should include all Syrian opposition groups.

Russian Foreign Minister, Sergie Lavrov and his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, expressed, during a phone call, relief for sustainability of the cessation of hostilities agreement, and the improvement of the humanitarian conditions, an official statement said.

The two men also discussed the resolution of conflicts in Libya and Yemen.

Meanwhile, the Russian defence ministry said, up to 37 armed groups have announced commitment to the ceasefire in Syria.

It said, the Russian fighter jets did not attack those groups that are committed to the truce.

Russia had announced that the cessation of hostilities did not include the so-called Daesh, Al-Nusra Front and all groups that did not commit to the ceasefire.
