Riprap Works to Start in New Suez Canal On Monday

Major General Kamel al-Waziri, chief of staff at the Armed Forces’ the Engineering Authority, said that the riprap works to start in new Suez Canal on Monday, especially after the digging works reached to about 340 meters in some sectors.

Waziri added that dredgers would enter into the site of the new Suez Canal to start the second stage of digging in parallel with the dry digging. He called on companies that have digging equipment to participate in the new Suez Canal project.

In a related context, delegations from Emirati and Chinese companies paid a visit to the site of the new Suez Canal to see the type of sand and the required equipment for the second stage, which includes dredging works.
