Pope Tawadros II praises Sisi’s wise leadership of Egypt

Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese on Wednesday lauded the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi that has led Egypt to overcome challenges in quest for a brighter future.

The Pope underscored the role played by both churches and mosques to build humans, hailing the feelings of love and brotherhood among all Egyptians.

He made his remarks at Port Said Archdiocese in the presence of Port Said governor Adel El Ghadban, key officials and leaderships in the governorate and the Archdiocese.

El Ghadban said the Pope’s visit to Port Said is historic since it came 43 years after the visit of his predecessor, late Pope Shenouda III of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark.

The governor added that Port Said witnesses its brightest and best periods under Sisi with huge economic projects being carried out on many of its parts.
