Pope Tawadros II offers condolences over victims of 2 NZ mosques massacre

Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese offered Wednesday his condolences to the families of the victims, killed in a terror attack that targeted two mosques in New Zealand.

In his weekly sermon, Tawadros II deplored the terror attack as atrocious, adding that the Orthodox Church prays for God to give solace to the families of victims and speedy recovery for the injured.

Fifty people were killed when a gunman opened fire inside two mosques on March 15 in Christchurch city.
