PM: To repatriate all stranded Egyptians before Eid

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a weekly meeting of the Cabinet via video conference on Thursday 7/5/2020 to discuss a number of files and the latest local and international developments related to the coronavirus crisis.

During the virtual meeting, Madbouli said more than 1,100 Egyptians returned from Kuwait over the past two days and work is under way to make all needed preparations for the repatriation of all Egyptians stranded abroad because of the coronavirus crisis via preparing isolation facilities and providing medical teams to monitor the health conditions of the returnees.

The premier thanked all ministries, governorates and bodies concerned for their tireless efforts to help bring back the Egyptian nationals stranded abroad.

Madbouli pointed out that work is under way upon President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to speed up efforts to bring back home all stranded Egyptians before Eidul Fitr (Lesser Bairam).

Meanwhile, he greeted the Armed Forces on the occasion of 10th of Ramadan (October War) victory anniversary and the of Sinai Liberation Day, stressing that the Armed Forces personnel will always remain Egypt’s protective shield and strong bastion protecting the country from dangers.

Madbouli also asserted the full solidarity of the great Egyptian citizens, ministries and governmental bodies with the Egyptian Armed Forces and police, extending his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs who lost their lives in the cowardly terrorist attack in Bir Al-Abd town of Sinai.
