PM reviews presidential directives to new governors

Prime Minister Mostafa Madobuli on Thursday called on the new governors to exert more efforts to meet the citizens’ needs and make best use of competitive advantages in their governorates.

During his meeting with the newly-sworn in governors, the premier called for activating cultural and entertainment programs for young people, as well as developing the state apparatus’ performance and honing the skills of civil servants.

The prime minister ordered the governors to counter prices hike and ensure the provision of basic commodities and services to citizens, in addition to improving the quality of internal facilities and means of transportation.

Madbouli also stressed the necessity of the optimal management of untapped assets in all governorates and the legalization of state lands, urging governors to continuously communicate with citizens to listen to their complaints and resolve them.

The prime minister instructed the governors to give top priority to the system of cleaning and repairing electricity pylons, besides drawing up a clear plan to pave main and side streets in all villages and centers in all governorates.

Madbouli stressed the need to follow up the efficiency of vital service facilities, as well as working decisively on removing all encroachments on the Nile River and watercourses, along with confiscating vehicles that dump solid waste and garbage into canals, drains and waterways.
