PM renews Egypt’s support for Lebanon, bilateral relations

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted on Wednesday Egypt’s support for stability in Lebanon, praising the relations between Cairo and Beirut.

Addressing a dinner banquet hosted by the Egyptian ambassador, Madbouli hailed also robust convergence between the two countries at all levels.

Madbouli arrived earlier in Beirut to lead Egypt’s delegation to the meetings of the 9th session of the Egyptian-Lebanese higher committee, set to kick off in the Lebanese capital on Thursday.

The Egyptian delegation groups the ministers of electricity, investment and international cooperation, petroleum, manpower and communications.

The two-day meetings will discuss several issues of mutual concern, including measures taken to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.

The premier will also take part in the 27th edition of the Arab Economic Forum, to be hosted by Beirut, in the presence of 400 participants from 15 countries.
