PM opens regional conference on terrorism under auspices of Sisi

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Wednesday 20/2/2019 opened a regional conference on terrorism.

Egyptian Prosecutor General Nabil Sadek took part in the conference for Middle East and North Africa on enhancing international cooperation in the face of growing threats of financing terrorism and money laundering.

The conference is held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, according to a statement by the Cabinet media office.

Attending the conference are prosecutor generals from Arab, African and foreign countries along with ministers, ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions in Cairo.

Sadek said that terrorism has become the first enemy of all peoples and the main hindrance to development efforts.

The conference is held in light of the development of methods adopted by terrorist groups while committing their criminal acts, he added.

He underlined the necessity that the world countries should cooperate for ending terrorism funding and money laundering.

The two-day conference will discuss several important issues related to fighting terrorism and other crimes along with means of boosting international cooperation in this regard.

Representatives from 41 countries and international organizations from the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia are taking part in the conference.
