PM Invites Unesco to Help Maintain Egypt’s Heritage

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab asserted on Saturday that Egypt was keen on establishing and developing historical museums as part of its heritage for all humanity and invited UNESCO to contribute to such efforts.

The remark came during a meeting with a UNESCO delegation visiting Egypt.

During the meeting, Mahlab asserted that the Egyptian government was keen on preserving the Egyptian heritage and that it had a program that aimed to establish and develop museums and archaeological sites like the Grand Egyptian Museum, Civilizations Museum and renovating the Islamic Art Museum.

The head of the UNESCO delegation welcomed boosting bilateral relations in several fields including training and renovating antiquities.
