PM: Govt supports DHL investments in Egypt

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has stressed his government’s support for DHL investments that aim at turning Egypt into an e-trade hub in the Middle East and Africa region.

The premier, in a meeting with CEO of DHL Express John Pearson earlier Wednesday 22/1/2020, said he is pleased with promotions about Egypt, which are being used by the company on its envelops inside and outside Egypt.

Pearson made it clear that his company has been working in Egypt since 1980, noting that the Arab country is a vital place of action in Africa and the Middle East.

Attending the meeting was Communications Minister Amr Talaat, who said that Egypt is keen on cooperating with DHL to ease electronic trade in Africa through new and innovative services that would help activate express shipping to and from the continent.

He added that his Ministry is working to turn Egypt into a regional hub of e-trade in Africa.
