PM follows up progress of health projects, securing funds for health initiatives

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli reiterated on Thursday that the state prioritizes the health file, improving medical services offered to citizens, as well as securing financial allocations required to promote the performance of medical institutions.

The premier pointed out to the number of initiatives that have been launched recently with the aim of making a quantum leap in the quality of medical services offered to citizens.

Madbouli was addressing a meeting he chaired today to follow up the progress achieved so far in a number of health files in the presence of the ministers of planning, finance and health.

During the meeting, Health Minister Hala Zayed reviewed that latest developments in the national inclusive health insurance project, noting that its first stage is due to be carried out in Port Said.

Minister Zayed reviewed the progress achieved in the national project of model hospitals that are being established across the country with a view to providing high quality medical services to citizens.

Also, Zayed reviewed a report on the status of the initiatives that have been introduced recently upon directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, including Egyptian woman Health initiative, the initiative on unifying the purchase of medical equipment, along with increasing allocations for treatment at the expense of state.
