Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said on Sunday that the state attaches great importance to the petroleum sector due to its vital role in pushing forward development efforts in the country.

During the meeting with Minister of Petroleum Tareq el Mulla, the prime minister stressed that the state spares no effort to increase oil exploration projects and attract more investments into this important sector.

Presenting a report on efforts exerted to meet the state’s needs of petroleum products, Mulla said his ministry secured 13.4 million tons of diesel, 7.3 million tons of gasoline and 3.9 million tons of butane gas from July 2018 to July 209.
