Planning minister names new assistant for economic policies

Planning Minister Hala el Saeed issued a decision appointing Moushira Karara as her new assistant for economic policies.

Karara will serve in the post for one year.

In a statement on Sunday, the minister said the move comes as part of efforts to develop the administrative apparatus of the State.

The appointment of a young woman in the post comes in recognition of youth’s role in the development process, she said.

Karara will be assigned with following up all files related to the implementation of the country’s 2030 sustainable development plan and 2063 Africa Agenda.

Karara, who graduated from the German University in Cairo with a Bachelor’s degree in management technology and a Masters of Economics, has earlier served as head of the technical team at the office of deputy planning minister and assistant professor at the German University in Cairo.
