MCIT Partakes in ‘Startups Without Borders Summit’

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), represented by the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), is participating as an eco-system partner in Startups Without Borders Summit, held on November 8-9, at the American University in Cairo (AUC) campus.

The Summit is organized in collaboration between Startups Without Borders, AUC Venture Lab, and is sponsored by a number of organizations including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Facebook, and others.

The Summit features three main tracks: Tech to scale, female leadership, and creative economies. It will bring international key players and leaders of the startup scene together with entrepreneurs and startup founders who hack their way to scale globally.

Startups Without Borders was launched in 2018 in Cairo as a global platform connecting ambitious refugee and migrant entrepreneurs with resources to grow their business, while providing investors with an entry-point to under-the-radar startups with disruptive potential.
