Mashat convenes with ETF board for 1st time in 3 years

Tourism Minister Rania el Mashat on Tuesday 5/2/2019 convened with the elected board of directors of the Egyptian Tourism Federation (ETF) for the first time in three years.

The meeting reviewed the role to be played by the ETF in the coming period to achieve the Tourism Ministry’s vision on developing the tourism sector.

They also discussed boosting cooperation and coordination between both sides.

The minister congratulated the elected and appointed board members on the successful election process and wished them success in assuming their responsibilities.

Mashat asserted the Egyptian government’s support of the tourism sector, highlighting the underway cooperation among all ministries to upgrade the sector.

Mashat hailed the successful election process of the ETF board of directors for the first time in more than three years, saying that she was prioritizing this file since assuming her post.

The meeting tackled Egypt’s hosting of the 2019 African Cup of Nations in June and stressed the importance of good preparation by the tourism sector so that Egypt would benefit from this event.

Mashat directed the ETF to form working groups to be responsible for this file.
