KUWAITI EMIR SENDS CONDOLENCES TO EGYPT OVER POLICEMEN’S KILLING

KUWAIT, The Kuwaiti Emir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, has sent condolences to Egyptian President, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, over the killing of five policemen by terrorists, on Monday.

Five Egyptian police conscripts were killed, in a terror attack on Monday, in North Sinai Province.

In a cable sent to Sisi, Sheikh Sabah expressed his “deepest sorrow and grief,” over the death of the Egyptian policemen, the report said.

The Kuwaiti leader also expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation, of this brutal terror attack, while offering all possible support to Egypt, in maintaining its stability and security.

Egypt has been facing a rising wave of terrorist activities, following the military’s removal of former Islamist president, Mohamed Morsi, in July, 2013.

Hundreds of Egyptian policemen and soldiers were killed, in terror attacks over the past years.

Egyptian security forces have also killed hundreds of terrorists and arrested a similar number of suspects, as part of the country’s anti-terror war.
