Kemet Boutros Ghali Foundation lauds Sisi’s efforts to back Africa’s stability

The Kemet Boutros Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge has lauded President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s sustained efforts to support stability and achieve a sustainable development in Africa, through strengthening constructive and balanced cooperation with world countries.

In a statement released on Thursday, the foundation paid tribute to the president’s speech at the 7th edition of Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), in which he said African cooperation with world countries should be based on achieving mutual interests of African peoples, given the enormous human and natural potential enjoyed by African states.

The foundation stressed its support for this constructive orientation, warning at the same time against risks posed by the insistence of some European countries so far to transfer their hazardous waste to Africa.

President Sisi has co-chaired with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe the TICAD summit, following his participation in the G-7 summit in France, with a view to establishing a more equitable partnership with Africa.

The three-day event concludes on Friday in Yokohama, south of Tokyo.
