IRAN SLAMS TERROR ATTACK IN EGYPT’S SINAI

TEHRAN, Iran, Iranian Foreign Ministry, on Friday, strongly condemned the suicide bomb attack on an army checkpoint, in Egypt’s northern Sinai, Tasnim news agency reported.

In a statement, Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Bahram Qasemi, offered his sympathies to the Egyptian people and the bereaved families of the victims of the terrorist attack.

Qasemi warned against a new wave of terrorist attacks across the world, by the “defeated Islamic State (IS).”

“The dispersal and escape of the terrorists, following their heavy defeats in Iraq and Syria, are a serious threat to the entire region and the world,” he added.

At least 10 Egyptian soldiers were killed and 20 others injured, Friday, in suicide bombing and shooting at an army checkpoint in North Sinai’s city of Rafah.
