Foreign Ministry condemns terror act in Sinai

Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry Tuesday strongly denounced last week’s attack on an Egyptian military checkpoint in Sinai that left 12 soldiers dead.

The statement said the attack was an additional evidence of a threat posed by “terrorist” groups seeking to expand their areas of operation.

The statement called for regional and international solidarity to eliminate terrorism.

“We offer our sincere condolences to the government and people of Egypt,” the statement added.
