FMs of Egypt & Lebanon discuss bilateral relations, regional issues

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received on Wednesday 20/5/2020 a phone call from his Lebanese counterpart Nassif Hitti, according to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez.
During the phone call, both sides discussed bilateral relations between Cairo and Beirut in addition to a number of regional issues of common concern, Hafez said.
Shoukry asserted Egypt’s keenness on Lebanon’s security and stability as well as on supporting the country’s national interests, Hafez added.
Both ministers tackled various cooperation fields that would help support the Lebanese people, mainly in the economic field, to help achieve stability and alleviate the impacts of the economic crisis on the Lebanese people and state.
