FM heads to Brussels for EU-Arab meeting

On February 3, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will head to the Belgian capital Brussels to attend the Arab-European Ministerial Meeting scheduled to be held on February 4.

Official MFA Spokesperson, Counselor Ahmed Hafez, stated that the ministerial meeting will feature a discussion and exchange of views between foreign ministers of participating states on a number of issues of interest to both the Arab and European sides in various fields.

It is noteworthy that the Arab-European Summit, which will be attended by leaders and presidents of Arab and European states and governments, will be hosted by Egypt on February 24 and 25. Counselor Hafez concluded his remarks by noting that the upcoming Arab-European Summit is the first of its kind and comes in light of the keenness of the Arab and European parties to advance aspects of cooperation and make a quantum leap in Arab-European relations.
