FM: Egypt committed to road map

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Badr Abdel Attey, has announced that Egypt is committed to implementing the road map agreed to by different political forces, in accordance with the time limits set out in the constitutional declaration. Attey stressed that the road map would lead to a lasting democracy in Egypt.

He also stressed his desire to achieve national reconciliation and to involve all political forces moving forward, without excluding any faction or movement.

Attey pointed out that there would be no extraordinary measures outside the scope of the law under the supervision of the Public Prosecution.

Attey made the statement in response to the German Foreign Ministry, who called on the Egyptian authorities not to allow political prosecutions.
