El-Saeed inspects Egyptian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

Minister of Planning Hala el Saeed and a delegation from the Ministry of Trade and Industry inspected preparations done for establishing the Egyptian pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai.

Expo 2020 is a World Expo to be hosted by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, opening on October 20, 2020. The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) general assembly in Paris awarded Dubai as the host on November 27, 2013.

In a press statement on Wednesday13/2/2019, Saeed asserted the importance of Egypt’s participation in the coming edition of the expo which is held for the first time in the Middle East and South Asia.

The Egyptian participation comes to promote for investments in Egypt, she said.

Saeed lauded the strenuous efforts exerted by the UAE government to prepare for Expo 2020 Dubai, saying that Egypt is looking forward to achieving distinguished participation in the event.

Expo 2020 Dubai will host the world for 173 days for it will run until 10 April 2021. The Expo site, which will cover a total of 438 hectares, is located in the Dubai South district, near the Al Maktoum International Airport.

This World Expo is being organised under the theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’, with this being expressed into three subthemes: Mobility, Sustainability, and Opportunity.
