EGYPT’S SISI DISCUSSES REGIONAL DEVELOPMENTS WITH RUSSIA’S PUTIN IN PHONE CALL

CAIRO, Egypt, Egypt’s President, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, discussed regional developments, with Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, during a phone call on Monday, the state-run Ahram Online news website, reported.

The two leaders discussed the latest developments in Syria and Libya, as well as, how to reach a political solution in each of the countries, the report said.

They also discussed the Palestinian issue, with Putin expressing his appreciation for the Egyptian efforts, to achieve Palestinian reconciliation, it said.

During the call, Putin also offered his condolences to his Egyptian counterpart, over the terrorist attack that killed hundreds of Egyptian worshippers in North Sinai’s Al-Rawda mosque, on Nov 24.

Putin asserted that his country supports Egypt’s efforts in the war against terrorism.

The two leaders also discussed bilateral ties, concerning the military, commercial and transportation sectors, as well as, their cooperation on building Egypt’s first nuclear power plant, at El-Dabaa, in the Matrouh governorate.
