Egypt’s Farida Othman to 50m butterfly final of World Swimming Championships

Egyptian swimmer Farida Othman on Friday made her way into the women’s 50m butterfly final at the 2019 World Swimming Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.

The Egyptian swimmer finished fifth at the women’s 50m butterfly competition with 25.79 seconds in the semi-finals.

Othman is set to take part in the final at World Championships for the fourth time in a row, as she has big chances to clinch a medal in this round on Saturday.

In the semi finals, Swedish Swimmer Sarah Sjostrom came in the first place with a record time of 24.79 seconds.
