Egypt’s ambassador opens Tutankhamun exhibition in Bogota

Egypt’s Ambassador to Colombia Sami Salem inaugurated Thursday Tutankhamun exhibition, in one of the largest parks in Bogota.

As a first of its kind in Colombia, the exhibition shows 93 replicas of Pharaonic coffins, statues, walls with inscriptions, among other artifacts.

This big event proved the great skills of the Egyptian artists, who created these works, the ambassador said.

He also noted that the aim of organizing such exhibition is to brief students in Colombia on the old Egyptian history.

The exhibition will remain open for the public over around three months and then will move to other Colombian cities.
