EGYPTIAN NAVY ARREST 20 GUNMEN NEAR DAMIETTA SEAPORT

CAIRO, Egypt, Nov 13 – At least 20 gunmen were arrested, three boats were ruined and a naval boat was burnt down on Wednesday, after fire exchange between unknown gunmen and the Egyptian naval forces, at the Mediterranean Sea, state TV reported.

Further, official MENA news agency quoted a military source as saying, that a number of boats opened fire at a naval motor boat, 40 nautical miles north of Damietta seaport.

“Naval special forces interfered, to help the naval boat that caught fire, and managed to destroy three attacking boats and arrest 20 of the gunmen,” the military source explained, adding that, naval rescue teams are currently clearing the area.
