Egyptian Ambassador in Jakarta conveys Sisi greetings to Indonesian leader

Egyptian Ambassador in Jakarta Amr Moawad has taken part in the a celebration marking the 74th anniversary of Indonesia’s independence held in the republican palace in Jakarta.

A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Sunday 18/8/2019 said the ambassador conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Indonesian President Joko Widodo on the occasion as the two countries enjoy distinguished relations.

Egypt was among the first countries to recognize Indonesia after its independence in 1947.

The ceremony was attended by the vice president of Indonesia, ministers, political party leaders and a host of foreign diplomats accredited in Indonesia.
