Egypt: Sisi Reviews Investment Chances With Major Businessmen in South Korea

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el Sisi reviewed on Friday with chairmen of several major South Korean companies investment opportunities in Egypt.

Sisi lauded, at his meetings with the senior South Korean businessmen, the activities of South Korean companies and their interest in operating in Egypt, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef.

The president asserted at the meetings that Egypt does not spare any effort to improve the investment atmosphere and create a suitable environment for investors through passing new investment-related legislation away from red-tapes, said the spokesman.

The president also noted that the government is working to settle all problems facing Korean companies in Egypt, according to the spokesman.

At a meeting with chairman of LG Company, the president expressed satisfaction over the volume of business of the company in Egypt and the diversity of its production lines, added the spokesman.

The chairman lauded the business environment in Egypt, which he described as safe and stable, added the spokesman.

At a meeting with the chairman of Hyundai Company for heavy industries, the president underlined the importance of enhancing joint cooperation to benefit from the company’s experience in the field of ship industry, added the spokesman.

Also the president met with the chairman of SK Company for engineering and construction where he underlined the importance of the company’s contribution to a project for building a petrochemicals products complex in Ain Sokhna in Egypt, according to the spokesman.

The president explained that the project will be one of the mega projects in the Middle East, added the spokesman.
