Egypt: PM Meets Daqahlia MPs Over Govt Program

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail met on Tuesday, 15/3/2016 a raft of Daqahlia parliamentarians.

During the meeting, Ismail spoke of the government’s program, scheduled to be presented to the parliament on March 27.

Ismail said the program focuses on maintaining national security, supporting democracy, achieving social justice and restoring Egypt’s leading role in the region.

Ismail noted that the government is keen on finalizing under-construction projects, attracting new investors and lowering the rate of unemployment, inflation and the budget deficit.

He reiterated the government’s determination to face all forms of corruption and bureaucracy, and to go on with the legislative reform procedures.

“Gaining the citizen’s satisfaction is our priority,” he said, adding that Egypt is able to overcome current challenges.

Sherif promised to improve the quality of services provided for Daqahlia residents in the fields of education, health and land reclamation.

PM noted that the government adopts a comprehensive strategy and ambitious plans to attain the required sustainable development in all governorates.

Sherif said he will pay more visits to Egypt’s governorates in the coming period to open more service and development projects.
