The Ministerial Meeting discusses how digital policies can be promoted to maximize the benefits from development of digital economy and technologies and achieve inclusion, as well as to minimize the risks and overcome challenges.

The leaders of the G20 will gather on 28-29 June 2019, in Osaka as Japan hosts the G20 Summit. Concurrent with the Summit meeting, the Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting, the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, and other ministerial meetings will also be held at eight different locations throughout Japan, including the G20 Ministerial Meeting on Trade and Digital Economy.

The G20 meetings are held on annual basis to discuss means of enhancing global economy, reforming international financial institutions, and running economic reforms.

The G20 Summit, formally known as the Summit on Financial Markets and the World Economy, makes continuous efforts toward achieving robust global economic growth. It focuses, not only on macroeconomy and trade, but also on a wide range of global issues which have an immense impact on the global economy, such as development, climate change and energy, health, counter-terrorism, as well as migration and refugees.
