Egypt Partakes in ITU Workshop on XAI for Autonomous, Assisted Driving

Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), is remotely participating in the Workshop on Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) for Autonomous and Assisted Driving, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), on January 21, in London, UK.

The workshop is followed by the first meeting of the Focus Group on AI for Autonomous and Assisted Driving (FG-AI4AD) of the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T), on January 22.

The workshop will explore the crucial role of AI in providing safe modes of transport through autonomous and assisted driving. It provides an opportunity to learn from research and experimental outcomes from various sources to provide a foundation for the future work of the focus group.

The workshop will bring together representatives of the ITU member states, ITU-T members, academic and research institutions, and individuals from ITU member states who are members of international, regional and national organizations.
