Egypt Partakes in AI for Good Global Summit

Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), will remotely participate in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Good Global Summit, hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) on May 28-31, in Geneva, Switzerland, under the theme Accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The ITU hosts the summit annually, in partnership with United Nations (UN) sister agencies, X Prize Foundation, and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), with the participation of leading minds in AI, businessmen, government officials, and civil society organizations.

The summit is the leading UN platform for global and inclusive dialogue on AI. It aims at connecting AI innovators with problem owners, to identify practical applications of AI to accelerate progress towards the UN SDGs. This is in addition to ensuring trusted, safe and inclusive development of AI technologies and equitable access to their benefits.
