Egypt keen to cement ties with South Sudan – Parl’t Speaker

Speaker of Egypt’s House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal has said Egypt is keen to enhance strategic ties with South Sudan.

The speaker and his accompanied delegation on Thursday met with Arthur Akuien Chol, Acting Speaker of South Sudan’s Council of States, on a visit to the African state.

Abdel Aal stressed that South Sudan is a pivotal and main partner of Egypt, noting that his visit aims to boost all strategic ties with South Sudan and open new horizons of coordination and cooperation in all fields.

Chol said the visit is a significant step to promote ties with Egypt, praising Egypt’s efforts on sending aid and offering support to his country to overcome its current crisis and achieve development.

Chol stressed the importance to enhance parliamentarian cooperation between both countries.
