Egypt Hosts African Smart Networks Forum

Under the auspices of Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Cairo will host Second Africa Smart Grid Forum on Saturday 05/03/2016.

The five-day forum, to be attended by Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, will be organized by the Ministry’s international electrotechnical organization.

According to spokesman for the electricity ministry Mohamed Al Yamani, activities will include a number of specialized meetings, in partnership with the European standardization authority.

The fifth annual general assembly of the African Electrotechnical Standardization Commission (AFSEC) will also be held as part of the events.

A large number of experts, specialists and decision makers in this field from various countries throughout the world are expected to take part in the event.

On the sidelines of the forum, an international exhibition will be held from March 5-8, with the participation of major companies specialized in smart grid technology.
