Egypt: Health Minister, Rwanda Ambassador Discuss Medical Cooperation

Minister of Health and Population Ahmed Emad el Din Rady met on Monday 7/3/2016 Rwanda’s Ambassador to Egypt Sheikh Saleh Habimana.

The two sides discussed potential bilateral protocols and means of boosting cooperation between the two countries.

They also tackled reactivating bilateral cooperation protocols inked in 2009.

For his part, Rwanda’s Ambassador expressed his country’s keenness on cooperating with Egypt in the pharmaceutical field, especially in offering treatment for the Hepatitis C virus.

A cooperation protocol between Egyptian Ministry of Health and the Rwandan one to delegate Egyptian doctors to work in Rwanda is expected to be signed in the near future.

Other protocols on medical tourism cooperation are set to be inked soon as well.
