Egypt: Cabinet Holds Weekly Meeting to Discuss Political, Economic Files

The Cabinet held its weekly meeting on Wednesday 9/3/2016 under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail to discuss a set of political, economic and security files as well as ministers’ reports on economic situation and improvement of services offered to citizens.

The Cabinet discusses a number of important reports pertaining to propelling investments, reducing State budget deficit, rise of dollar prices as well as maintaining the prices of basic commodities.

The Cabinet also reviews the plan of action of major national projects which are currently being carried out by the government to push forward development and offer better services to citizens in the fields of health, education and housing.

Besides, the cabinet reviews detailed reports on targeted projects by the government that will be referred to the House of Representatives next month to improve the investment atmosphere and lure in more national and foreign investments, create more job opportunities, reduce poverty and stabilize prices.
