Egypt: Brazil Greets Newly-Appointed Arab League Chief

The Brazilian government has sent a cable of greetings to Ahmed Abul Gheit, former Egyptian foreign minister and its permanent delegate to the UN, on his appointment as the new Arab League chief.

Brazil has established strong relations with Arab League member states, a matter which has clearly been crystallized in the volume of trade exchange between Brazilia and the Arab countries.

The volume of Brazil’s trade relations with the Arab region hit dlrs 19.2 billion in 2015.

In 2015, Brazil and the Arab League signed a memorandum of understanding to establish cooperation relations and political consultation between them.
