Culture Minister, Sharqia governor inaugurate 3 culture palaces

Dr. Inas Abdel-Dayem, The Minister of Culture, Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Governor of Al �Sharqia and Dr. Ahmed Awwad, Head of the General Organization of Culture Palaces, inaugurated the culture palaces of Belbeis, Deyarb Negm and Zagazig after their development and rehabilitation, in a step to implement the strategy of The Ministry of Culture.

Abdel-Dayem said that these inaugurations are implemented according to a plan prepared in June and based on a specific timetable after getting over all the challenges and providing all the requirements to enhance the cultural structure of Egypt, in addition to organizing the artistic and cultural programs to serve our community. The programs include : artistic shows ,intellectual and literary meetings , development of talent and artistic performances, clubs of women and technology, supplying the theaters with theaters screens to insert “the cinema clubs” in the various governorates and regions of Egypt, in order to strengthen the role of soft power in the country and to disseminate awareness and achieve the cultural sustainable development , in order to create new generation that is able to complete the process of enlightenment in Egypt.

Furthermore, She stressed that Egyptian culture, since 30 June2018 and until now, has added 11 cultural buildings to the structure of The General Organization of Culture Palaces which are the culture palaces of: Tanta, Gamal Abdel Nasser in Assiut, Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai, Desouk in Kafr El-Sheikh, Aqala and Hod Al-Remal in Luxor, Qena, Bilbis, Zagazig in Sharqia. She added that, by June 2019, other sites will be completed, namely, Ibraq, Hadraba, Damanhour, Wadi El Natroun and Al- Bahr Al- Azam” Library in Giza, totally 17 cultural sites � some of them are new buildings and the others were developed and rehabilitated.

As for Ghorab, he praised the high efficiency of the culture Palaces in Bilbeis, Deyarb Negm and Zagazig, praising the role of the Ministry of Culture in developing the cultural structure in the provinces. He pointed out that Al- Sharqia governorate is the symbols of art, thoughts and literature, and, it is full of talents and innovators that were adopted by the culture palaces and houses in the centers and villages through the initiatives that contributed to spreading and raising awareness.

For his part, Awwad said that according to the directives of the Minister of Culture, the culture palaces are stated and planted in the villages and governorates of Egypt for its role in achieving the cultural enlightenment for the Egyptians according to accurate database , for example Belbeis Cultural Palace, which dates back to 1973 and ” Diarb Najm which dates back to 1975, others were established half century ago. He added that committees were formed to follow up the implementation of the artistic and cultural programs in all the cultural palaces and houses in Egypt, to emphasize their role and achieve their goals.

Moreover, Dr. Inas Abdel-Dayem and Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab inspected a plastic arts exhibition for the artists of Al- Sharqia in Zagazig Culture Palace, followed by attending a concert for Mohammed Abdel Wahab” Ensemble for Arabic music that presented a number of national and heritage works.

It is noteworthy that Belbeis Culture Palace is on 875 square meters, it consists of two floors. The first floor contains the first plastic arts exhibitions hall, children’s library, artists’ rooms, theater that can accommodate 250 seats, administrative rooms. The second floor contains IT Club, public library.

AS for Diarb Najm Culture Palace, it is established on a total area of 600 square meters, it consists of two floors. The first accommodates 200 seats, the second floor includes a public library, lights control room, an information technology club, a women’s club and a plastic arts hall.

As for Zaqaziq Culture Palace, it is located on an area of 2033 square meters and contains three floors. The first floor contains a hall for exhibitions and plastic arts, artists’ rooms and a theater accommodates 596 seats. The second floor contains an information technology club, a women’s club, and administrative rooms. The third floor contains a public library and a multi-activity hall
