Bourse gains EGP 8.7 bln, all indexes up

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) gained 8.7 billion pounds this week as the market capital went up 1.0 percent to 836.2 billion pounds compared to 827.5 billion pounds in the previous week.

The EGX 30 benchmark index upped 1.08 percent to 15,147 points, according to the weekly bourse report, a copy of which MENA obtained on Thursday.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) went up by 0.67 percent to 717 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index also increased 0.71 percent to close at 1,812 points.
