BA Hosts Techne Summit 2016

Techne Summit 2016-a two-day international technology event that will act as a platform gathering the main global players in the technology industry-will be held on May 7-8 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), Egypt.

The event will be organized by Markade L.L.C, under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and information Technology (MCIT), the General Division of Computer and Software, the Federation of the Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).

Techne Summit will present networking opportunities and open up possibilities for various business collaborations between parties, particularly those that pertain to grow in the Middle East and Africa region. The Summit will feature top international industry professionals as technology businesses, entrepreneurs and startups, investors, technology users and media representatives, as well as exhibitors showcasing their latest innovations.

The Summit will witness the participation of nearly 80 local and international companies, including 20 start-ups. This is in addition to the participation of 60 international speakers, talking about their technological expertise and future vision on the ICT sector to the Egyptian market through a number of sessions and workshops to be held in parallel with the Summit.

Best startups will be selected to showcase in Techne Summit 2016; it is an opportunity to fund business by connecting with regional and global investors, gain coverage in widely viewed media publications and extend to potential customers in the Middle East and North Africa. This is in addition to providing an opportunity to participate in competitions held across the two-day event, with over $1,000,000 in value.
