Azhar deplores Israeli measures, arrests in Al Quds

Al Azhar condemned on Friday the repressive measures recently taken by Israeli occupation authorities in Al Quds city, including the frequent storming of Al Aqsa Mosque and the arrests that targeted prominent figures in the city.

Al Azhar reiterated its support to Al Quds residents against such repression they have been facing by Israeli authorities, especially after attempting to re-close Bab al-Rahmeh.

The world’s leading Muslim Sunni institution stressed that the whole Aqsa Mosque only belongs to the Palestinian people.

It also urged all the bodies concerned to take the necessary political and legal measures to support the Palestinians’ struggle to establish their independent state.
