Arab health ministers praise success of Sisi’s health initiative

Egypt’s Health Minister Hala Zayed said on Thursday that the Council of Arab Health Ministers hailed the 100 million healthy lives initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The Council of Arab Health Ministers held a session at the Arab League premises under the UAE chairmanship, stressing that the initiative can be used as a reference of guidance for their countries.

Zayed said that the ministers entrusted the council’s technical secretariat to follow up the approval of PCR analysis as a criteria to determine whether workers traveling to Gulf countries suffer from Hepatitis C.

She pointed out that such a step will allow to Hepatitis C-free workers to travel to Gulf countries and increase remittance of Egyptian expats.

The Arab countries seek to have unified health regulations, achieve comprehensive medical coverage for all citizens and provide the desired level of medical care.
