Angola/Egypt: Coach Sami Matias Confident of Under-20 Team Qualification

The coach of the national under-20 football team, Sami Matias, Wednesday in Luanda expressed confidence about the country’s qualifying for the African Cup of Nations (CAN) of 2017 in Zambia.

The coach justified his optimism mentioning the mood showed by the players during a training session, ahead of the match against Egypt for the last qualifying round for the competition.

“We are not concerned about winning in Cairo, but we want to make a score that qualifies us, so we can draw or lose, but the goal is to pass to the round,” the coach told the press at the end of the session held at the 22 de Junho Stadium.

He said he will opt for defensive caution to surprise the hosts and get a good outcome.

Previously scheduled for today, the under-20 team travel only Friday to Cairo due to the change on the date of the match Friday to Sunday at the request of “pharaohs”.
