Ambassador Abdel Aati hails Egypt’s participation in ITB in Berlin

Egypt is a major contributor at the 53rd edition of International Tourism Bourse (ITB) in Berlin, Egyptian Ambassador to Germany Badr Abdel Aati said on Saturday 9/3/2019.

The event kicked off on March 6.

Abdel Aati described the Egyptian pavilion at the travel trade show as extremely “remarkable” in terms of organization and quality of execution, adding that it reflects Egypt’s true identity and variety of Egyptian tourist destinations.

The pavilion attracted a large number of visitors compared to other pavilions that represent 180 countries, Abdel Aati told MENA.

The event provides a great opportunity to discuss several contracts and deals signed with German and global companies and travel agencies, the ambassador noted.

Earlier’s Tourism Minister Rania el-Mashat met her Greek and Cypriot counterparts as well as the head of Bundestag Committee on Tourism at the premises of the Egyptian embassy in Berlin to discuss means of boosting tourism cooperation between Egypt and the three European countries, Abdel Aati said.

Having attracted more than 110,000 visitors, the exhibition will wrap up on Sunday.
