Africa: Egypt Seeks Genuine Partnership With African Countries

Egypt’s International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr said Tuesday 24/5/2016 Cairo adopts comprehensive developmental program which is approved and monitored by its House of Representatives.

Nasr is chairing Egypt’s delegation to the African Development Bank (AfDB) Annual Meetings in Lusaka.

In her speech, the minister said Egyptian youths represent the main engine for the development program of Egypt.

Providing job opportunities for young people is a top priority for the Egyptian government, she added.

The Egyptian government adopts a comprehensive developmental program that aims to improve the living standards and respond to the priorities of Egyptian citizens, Nasr stressed.

The minister stressed the importance of regional integration among the countries of the African continent as a main priority on the agenda of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the Egyptian government.

She underlined the importance of AFDB’s support for means of regional integration in order to serve social and economic development.

Nasr also stressed the importance of major national projects carried out by the Egyptian government, especially the new Suez Canal.
